Often 1.1

Improvements

  • Simplified how workouts are saved to and removed from plans for a more intuitive workflow.

  • Add to Library has been renamed to Save to Library.

  • Improved workout session reliability. Active workouts are now continuously saved in the background, allowing you to resume after an unexpected app closure.

  • You can now delete logged workout sessions directly from your workout history.

  • Simplified Personal Records to focus on actual achievements. Strength exercises now track Best Weight, while distance and timed activities display more relevant performance records. More improvements are planned in future updates.

  • Profile photo, name, and username can now be managed from one place.

  • Simplified name editing with a single display name.

  • Improved profile syncing across your account and public profile.

Bugs

  • Fixed an issue where creating a new plan could open an old plan view instead of the plan editor.

  • Fixed an issue where selecting Monday on your plan would pre-assign Sunday.

  • Fixed an issue with the date of birth picker during the onboarding flow.

  • Fixed an issue where distance-based exercises displayed the incorrect tracking fields.

  • Fixed an issue where the tab bar could become unreliable when adding multiple workouts to a plan.

Often 1.0

We're in TestFlight.

Often started from a simple frustration of mine: most fitness apps are designed for people who want guidance. As a result, they we're too rigid. They try to coach you through every decision.

I'm the type of person who watches YouTube videos, observes what other people are doing, researches different approaches, and then builds my own routines around my own goals. I genuinely enjoy the process of creating and refining my own training.

So I created Often to support that experience: a workspace for building and planning workouts quickly, without all the unnecessary tips, recommendations, and coaching prompts.

Our goal is simple: create the fastest and most flexible workout builder for people who prefer to coach themselves.
